Pet care experience
I have personally had 1 cat and 2 dogs as pets as a kid where I helped my family with walking, medications, and general grooming and bathing. I have had multiple jobs over the years taking care of dogs, cats, hamsters, and fish. I've taken care of small and large dogs (the biggest being a Bull Mastiff) and the smallest being 2 German Schnauzers. I also spent a long time being a volunteer dog walker at a dog shelter called small miracles in ellicott city, Maryland where I saw dogs of all sizes coming from all walks of life. With all the on-and-off jobs over the years, it amounts to about a year of experience.

Erik was an excellent dog and house sitter. He took great care of our almost 15 year old Golden Retriever, texting us and sending pictures every day. We could tell Ryley was very comfortable with him. We already have him lined up for our vacation in October.
I cannot speak highly enough of Erik! He is an absolutely delightful and responsible young man who will exceed your expectations! Erik is first and foremost a kind and generous person, who is friendly, dedicated, trustworthy, and reliable! Secondly, he will love and care for your fur babies as if they are his own! We had the pleasure of hiring Erik to house and doggie sit for our 3 (2 senior mini schnauzers, and an italian mastiff) last spring, and several times over the summer for walks and play/cuddle time. Prior to his start date, he made a point of coming over to our home to get to know the dogs and their schedules. Throughout our time away he always sent text, photo and video updates, which gave us peace of mind that our dogs were in great hands. It is evident that he truly loves animals, and that caring for them is much more than a job to him. You will not be disappointed with entrusting your pets into Erik's care. He is simply the best!

At home, I have a 1.5-year-old golden doodle named Mando. He has a lot of energy so multiple walks a day are a must for him. He also has allergies and needs daily medication in the spring. I will follow along with whatever rules you have in place for your pets whether you prefer them to stay within certain areas of the house, stay off the couches, have certain rules while walking, you name it!

A typical day
I love to spend time time inside and outside playing with toys and playing games! I’d love to take them to some of the local parks if possible! to get some energy out and make sure they are well exercised!

Availability
I am a full-time physical therapy graduate student that has classes from 9 am to 4 pm most days during the week. However, I have a full-hour lunch break during the day from 12 pm - 1 pm so that I can check up on your pets and take them for a walk or spend some quality time with them! I'm also not opposed to being there early in the morning for your dogs either
