I had 2 dogs in my life that both taught me major experiences about how dogs are very much like people, and ho to treat them as such. My first dog was a hyper and overly playful labrador. With him, I learned and adapted to his rough and tough playing style while still maintaining a sense of gentleness that wouldn't be too much. The second was our cocker spaniel whom we bought as a new born puppy. When we brought him home he was so sick we needed to give him a blood transfusion. So through all his vet visits I learned and observed much abut Dog health and can see when a dog might not be feeling well. He was a hyper puppy and young dog and required much space to run and roam to let out that energy. We had to help him run through golf courses with a long leash (cause he stole golf balls and chased down ducks). Even up until he was 12 years old. He was very disobedient so for all these years I was having to clean up after his mess and crazy behaviors, from over playing with other dogs and chasing down children to steal their toy balls. Even him running out the door and getting lost countless times through the years and then dropping scat in the neighborhoods "friendliest" neighbors front yard while they parked. So through him, I learned patience and applied every method that could help him to be obedient. (That always failed he was a rebel until he died). I learned to care for my other pets (parrots, birds, reptiles, etc) through sickness and in health.
