My name is Erik and I love animals. I stop to politely introduce myself to any dog that I encounter. I am currently in grad school and run my successful pub trivia company, but spending time with dogs, cats, pigs, ducks, anything...that always gets to the core of me. In my daily life, I care for two blind cats I adopted from Whiskers Cat Cafe, I named Birdie and Dolores. Taking care of the special needs of animals is something I do on a daily basis (while also feeding a few neighborhood cats along the way) and brings my heart real joy to care for my two blind gals. I gave the same attentive care to senior pup by the name of Chance, who had been given up on by several homes because of his allergy and medical needs. He was taken care of in his final years until he passed (and his paw print memorialized in a tattoo). I also have an 8 year old American Foxhound named Atticus who is a dear old soul, who I share in a great relationship with my former partner, taking him on long walks and dog park trips every week. There is nothing that truly brightens my life more than the time spent with wonderful animals and pets.
