Pet care experience
I have experience raising dogs from the age of just a few weeks all the way through adulthood. I also have familiarity with dogs who suffer from separation anxiety and emotional distress when their human isn’t around. I am also familiar with basic dog training techniques as I have worked with professional trainers to train my own animals.

Erica is an extremely attentive caregiver for pets. She has loved animals since she was a child, and she takes very good care of her own pets. She not only attends to their basic needs, but she ensures that they are happy, healthy and thriving.

This will vary depending on the animal’s current training protocol, but for my own dog, she is allowed free reign of my home now that she is proving herself able to avoid accidents and also not destroy things if she gets anxious; however, if she begins to get anxious or act out (ex. Fear barking), that’s when we work on focusing her attention on a task (ex. “Bring your bone.”) and making sure that this task leads her back to her play bed where she can calm down and focus on completing the task I have assigned her.

A typical day
This will depend on the individual pet’s personality, but this could range from snuggles and belly rubs on the couch to playing with toys or searching for snacks in a snuffle mat. I try to keep my dog entertained with a mix of treats, training (both indoor and outdoor), and mental stimulation.

Availability
I am a 100% remote worker, so as long as I have a bit of notice, I can be very flexible with the times of day that I’m available and the days on which I’m available. With that being said: *I do require a meet and greet prior to caring for your pet for the first time.* I want to make sure that everyone has the same expectations regarding care before we book our first appointment and that animal feels comfortable with me since I’ll be a new human to them!
