Pet care experience
Whether you have a teething spritely pup still learning her name or a cranky old gal who needs her pain meds to get out of bed in the morning, I have the experience and patience to care for your fur friend like she was my own. I worked my way through college as a Petsmart dog trainer and pet sitter, and have fostered countless pups, cats, rabbits, ferrets, and even a pair of mice until they found loving homes, and I have two great dogs with very different needs and personalities that have taught me (and tested me) in more ways than I count!
Reviews
Erica was so wonderful! Bobby loved her time there. We couldn’t recommend her more!
Erica was amazing. Our dog felt right at home. She is so kind ,and you can tell she is a lover of animals. I would absolutely book again.
If you're looking for a pet sitter who you can trust to take care of your fur baby-Erica is your girl! She is a true animal lover and will treat your pet like one of the family. Over the years she has taken care of my beagle, who was a little quirky but Erica handled his quirks like a pro! I call her my personal dog whisperer because even the quirkiest of fur babies love her! She's also pet sat my golden retriever and even helped me acclimate her into the family when we adopted her as a rescue dog. Erica helped me teach her how to walk on a leash and got her to stop pulling - all while using positive reinforcement techniques. I can't recommend her enough! You can be sure your pet is in good hands with Erica!

I strongly believe one of the best things we can offer our dogs in life is consistency. That's why when I pet-sit I do everything I can to keep to the rhythm and schedule a dog is used to. Does he usually have breakfast at 7am? No problem. Is he used to going out 8 times a day? I can do that. Are you in the middle of clicker training? I'll keep it going for you while you're away if you'd like. My 18-month-old pointer and 12-year-old chihuahua mix are part of our family, and no matter the size, breed, or disposition of your furry friend, I'll treat yours like family, too.

Information Erica L. would like to know about your pet
I like to know as much about your pooch beforehand as possible so they can settle in and feel like they're home from the start. Bringing their bed, toys, food bowls, medication, and leash/harness/collar is the first part of a smooth stay. Of course, you know your dog better than anyone, so any insight you can offer into what helps them relax and enjoy themselves is invaluable. Please provide a crate they are comfortable sleeping in.
A typical day
We are early risers and are usually up doing farm chores by 7:00am. Our dogs tag right along with us and your dog can too! We spend the evening walking our property line, checking on plants and critters, and then come inside to rest and cook a meal with our dogs at our feet.

I spend my day working our small farm, so I'm never more than a few strides from the house. My dogs follow me around our property while I do chores, and your pup can tag along (leashed) all day if they're up for it. My pups get several breaks a day where they rest in a kennel in our cool basement and get to enjoy a peanut butter kong (or two). I'm away from home for 2-3 hours at most 1-2 times a week while I run errands in town.
