A big reason I Rover is because I used to travel regularly for work and pet care was a stressor for me. Traveling was particularly difficult around holidays when demand was high and prices were higher. I have been in the conservation and non-profit field for work and the income is... modest. I decided that I wanted to help alleviate this stressor for others and try to keep my rates accessible and competitive while also recognizing that providing great care does take time and emotional energy.
