For the past 3 years, I have worked full time as a veterinary assistant & client care specialist at an animal hospital in Clarendon. I love all animals, but have a special place in my heart for dogs and cats. Although I adore working in the veterinary field, I have recently taken a part-time nannying position as I am planning to go to nursing school in the fall. I have always had cats and dogs growing up, and I have been pet sitting for over 13 years. Aside from my past 3 years as a vet assistant, I also worked part-time at a vet clinic my senior year of high school. I absolutely adored it, but I had to quit to make more time for college preparation. Some of my duties included: weighing animals, trimming nails, administering medications, walking dogs, scooping cat litter, bathing/brushing, preparing overnight patients for their trip home, cleaning exam rooms, greeting clients, etc. I am able to administer oral medications to dogs and cats, and would be open to administering injectable medications as long as the owner can show me their usual routine (I have administered injections before, but in a clinical setting. Plus, every pet reacts differently). I am open to mid-day dog walking positions (before 2pm) and any pet sitting positions (dogs or cats!) either overnight or daily visits.
