Your pet's next best fur-end! 🐶🐱

Pet care experience

I have had pets my entire life including dogs, birds, hamsters, fish, and birds. During high school, I volunteered with a pet rescue as well as worked as a kennel assistant at a vet clinic for 2 years. Since then, I’ve had experience caring for others’ pets in their own homes and can provide references as needed.

Erica is a phenomenal pet sitter. She swiftly responded to my message and was able to answer any questions I had. There was a lot of thoughtfulness put into the questions she asked regarding my dog. Despite needing an overnight service that would last multiple days and start 24 hours after I contacted her, Erica was very open and responsive. There was lots of clear communication and I felt comfortable leaving my pet in her care. I would absolutely recommend Erica as a petsitter and would be delighted to hire her again.

The moment I met Erica I knew she was the sitter for my dog. She is a true animal lover & my dog instantly fell in love with her! I needed to go on an emergency trip to San Francisco, and Erica was very accommodating. She updated me often and sent lots of pictures. She is a great sitter, and I highly recommend her!

Erica was an amazing pet sitter for my two cats while we were away. She was always prompt with her responses and followed our complicated instructions really well. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a responsible pet sitter!

Erica was a great housemate to count on. Whenever I had to work in the office, I could count on her to walk my dog. She has been patient enough to clean after him, whenever he'd have accidents inside the house. Erica can also keep up with my dog's energy, because she's playful with him. She is kind and caring to my dog. She is able to set boundaries when it comes to leaving him alone instead of getting mad at him when he does something bad, like jump on her and liking her. Erica has had a lot of experience working with animals as a previous veterinarian assistant of some type. She has cared for them quite a lot. I believe Erica is the ideal candidate to be the loving caregiver that other dog owners need.

Anything your pet needs, whatever their usual routine... I can do that, and more! I'll take them on walks every couple hours, play with them, and maybe even do some basic training with them to stimulate their mind while you're gone. Mental stimulation is important to me! With the hot Sacramento summers, I will avoid walking on hot pavement as much as possible while ensuring your pet stays cool and hydrated.

Information Erica D. would like to know about your pet

I don't have breed preferences and I am also open to caring for dogs that may be scared/anxious, but please disclose any and all behaviors that may be of importance! I would love to meet you and your pet prior to your 1st service to ensure that we will be a good match!

A typical day

Going on walks around neighborhoods, especially trying new routes if I'm spending lots of time with your pet. Also enrichment toys or brain games are fun to include!

Availability

During the week, I work full time in schools and complete my MA in Special Education (remotely) in the evenings. Due to me working in schools, this gives me the great availability of being open for holidays/breaks that students typically would have such as summer break, Christmas, New Year's, etc. July 2023: I am typically available anytime for all services. August 2023: I am typically available weekends for day sitting and overnight stays. I can squeeze drop-ins and walks into my schedule some days during the late afternoon/evening times.
