Pet care experience
Caring for animals and enriching their lives is my number one passion in life. I have worked with animals professionally for the last 12 years, that includes working at an animal emergency center, a wildlife rehabilitation center, and a job as a wildlife conservation educator. I am comfortable handling domestic animals, as well as exotic animals. I have taken classes on dog body language and I feel very confident in understanding dog behavior. I am familiar with reptile, bird, and small mammal care as well. I see each interaction I have with your pet as an opportunity to make their day a little better.

I have two large dogs, both struggle with anxiety. Our hound dog is super shy and uncomfortable around other people. Erica takes the time to let the dogs warm up to her. She reads their body language to know when they feel scared, threatened, uncomfortable, etc and doesn’t pressure or force the dog. My GSD loves her, and the anxious hound who is uncomfortable around most people, is genuinely accepting of Erica and friendly towards her…dare I say, even EXCITED to see her! It is so relieving to have someone I can trust my babies with. She is so patient with them and calm and caring. She truly loves animals and you can absolutely trust her to care for your fur baby during her time with them.
Erica is the most responsible and reliable pet sitter/dog walker I've ever had!! From walking my multiple, giant Great Danes together like a true pro, to taking amazing car of my many exotic pets (including hedgehogs, reptiles, and parrots), to successfully medicating my quite difficult, special needs cats...she's done it all for me and I've always felt completely confident that my babies were in very capable and kind hands with Erica!

While walking I will never put your dog in any dangerous situations, I always keep dogs on leash and never approach other dogs while I am on a walk. For pet sitting in your home, I will send updates as requested and I will keep you informed on your pet's health and happiness.
