Pet care experience
Grew up with many dogs, owned two high energy breeds personally and am comfortable with all sizes and attention spans :) In addition to the extensive first hand experience I've had through rover I've also gone through multiple courses on the wagfield academy website in basic dog training principles and I employ positive reinforcement techniques with my pooch Laila :) Laila has spent countless hours socializing with other dogs and would love having a friend over to play :) I am available for pickup/dropoff any time of day - please reach out to me and we can discuss the details. I am open for meet and greets after 5pm during the week and anytime on the weekend -- if you need a time outside these hours though I can likely accommodate :) I am home 24/7 during sittings. I try to get outside with the dogs every hour or two as well as a morning and evening walk to burn energy. I have a fenced in back yard that is big and little dog proof. I only use positive reinforcement and only use kennels on request. I use the 'set for success' mantra as a guide around the house and take responsibility for the actions of the stays under my roof -- as an example - if a dog has an accident in the house - we will go outside more often and provide some positive reinforcement when they do use the bathroom outside :) My dog Laila is very friendly with other dogs. The house is fully dog proofed (one level access, counters, tables, bedstands and sidetables cleared etc). I only employ positive reinforcement techniques as mentioned above - this means no yelling, hitting or aggression in any way towards your dog in any circumstances :) I will make you aware of any untoward behavior that I encounter and will happily offer any advice I have surrounding it (though I very well know dogs will be dogs and doubt your dog will do anything I haven't seen before :))

Eric was flexible, organized, and our pups came home exhausted and happy!

I try to set the dogs up for success by giving them the best chance to succeed in the house as possible. I do not use kennels unless requested or in case of emergency. I use a series of baby gates around the house to separate everyone for feedings, give new stays a chance to acclimate, limit access to the doorway during pickup and dropoffs, keep the dogs out of the kitchen in the evening etc. I work from home and am home pretty much 24/7 - if by chance I do leave the house it would never be for more than 2 hours and I would have the dogs separated during the time away. Beyond all this I have a series of cameras setup to monitor the dogs if I'm ever away and (have never had to do this) provide some insight into any accidents that occur. The 'set for success' motto is what I use to try to eliminate any unsafe interactions with other stays or things in the environment that could be an issue. Ie if they do something they shouldn't do I try to eliminate the things that caused them to do it :) In case of emergency I have access to multiple vet lines through resources from rover, Lailas insurance and a local veterinarian that I can contact directly. I also use apple air tags and either attach them to the stays collar or put a collar on along with a tag containing my contact information for each stay in case something unexpected were to happen and they were to get away from the house.

How does it feel about other dogs and cats? We can likely make arrangements if he/she isn't comfortable with other furballs though too :) My cats are very acclimated to dogs and they have a cat run to access parts of the house out of reach of the dogs :)
A typical day
My dog Laila is kind of the pace-setter - she is an energizer bunny so typically do 2 ~30 minute walks per day with ~15 minute tug-of-war or fetch sessions scattered in between. When she's not ready for play time she sleeps the rest of the day so kind of just play till she's ready to lay down for a bit then continue with my day :) She is good with all sizes and energy levels :)
