Pet care experience
Re-establishing my business. I was successful in my endeavor North of Boston and now having moved to the Cape am doing so down here. Specializing in clients who want to leave for a quick weekend away or longer or a last minute dinner with friends and family, but also open for daily walks. I have gone through a lot of changes over the last few months. We have moved down to the Cape and sadly my faithful dog of 16 yrs took her last breath in February, even her veterinarian was crying. I had taken care of my own 4 legged family member for 16 years and my sweet kitty for 15 years before that I understand how nerve-racking it can be leaving your pet with someone new. They will be taken care of like they are members of the family. I've had friends clients and co-workers who have entrusted their pets with me. Except for rare occasions I will only walk 1 dog at a time (unless they are from the same house family) so they will get my undivided attention. I will work on basic training (if you so desire) during our time together and will always send daily updates. Most importantly they will have fun. Lots of references as needed.
Reviews
Eric McDevitt is one of the most loyal and compassionate people I know. For over 13 years, I have entrusted him with the overnight care of my own dog, Nyla, who can be somewhat challenging as she can be fear aggressive nature towards other dogs. He is my emergency contact for my dog and I trust him without question. I am not alone; Eric provides walks and overnight care to other dogs in the area, and he strives to make sure his own dog Sandy has the BEST dog life, ensuring a great healthy diet and plenty of exercise. He is knowledgeably about both human and pet medical first response and maintains a calm demeanor when the situation warrants. It is without any reservation that I highly recommend him to be part of your organization.

My 4 legged girl even up to her last week would get a minimum of 5 walks a day and I would take her with me as much as it was safe to do so and even though she was almost 16 she would tell me how far she wanted to walk. Some days she would just want to walk around the block to do her business and other times she would walk until I turned her around. I've never believed in leaving a pet unsupervised outside even when it's in a fenced yard. I will also try and stimulate them mentally as well as physically to keep them vibrant and curious. Pets need to be stimulated physically and mentally. They will have my undivided attention while I am with them. Unless it is something that is time sensitive any phone calls etc will wait until my time with your pet is finished. I also try and network with others who may advise if there are any dog virus outbreaks in the state or region

Information ERIC M. would like to know about your pet
Are your dogs reactive to other dogs, cats, animals, cars and even whether they have an aversion to people wearing baseball hats and sunglasses. Are they currently in training and any special factors they might need or have. Immunizations and veterinarian contact information will be obtained at the time of our and your pets meet and greet.
A typical day
They will wander the neighborhood to sniff to their noses pleasure. With permission they'll get to explore a nearby forest but WILL ALWAYS be on leash. I'll have them mentally stimulated as well as physically. You need to stimulate them mentally and physically for a happy fulfilling life.

Availability
I'm used to being out in the elements (I retired almost 3yrs ago from a career in public safety and unless it's unsafe to do so, your family member will get the exercise and socialization they need. Whether you want a FT or PT walker, a last minute dinner or event with family/friends or a weekend getaway (or longer) let's schedule a meet & greet to make sure we are all a good match. I ask lots of questions so please don't be put off. Safety is paramount for all involved. I believe in a work/life balance and will strive to accommodate any time frame requests.
