We have had dogs our whole lives and consider them part of the family. I think if a dog doesn't trust you, there is probably a good reason and I probably don't either! We currently have a 14 year old husky mix that is showing signs of being very old. We've had him since he was 3 months. We recently had to put our other dog to sleep....she was a Boxer/Mastiff mix and she was 15 years old. We got her about a year and a half ago after years of too much breeding and neglect. We spoiled her rotten and loved her till the end. We don't want to jump into getting another dog immediately as we don't think that would be the right thing to do for our husky. But we do love to be around them!
