I grew up on a farm where caring for animals was part of everyday life from a very young age. It wasn’t just about having pets; I was actually responsible for their care. I also grew up with a black Lab and have 14+ years of experience caring for other people’s dogs, from small dogs to large breeds with all kinds of personalities, energy levels, and routines. I’m comfortable with crates, feeding schedules, oral medications, and different leashes and harnesses. I follow instructions closely, but I’m also confident thinking on my feet when something unexpected comes up. One of my biggest strengths is attention to detail. I notice the small things, like changes in behavior, body language, energy, appetite, or surroundings, and try to anticipate issues before they become problems. Every dog is different, and I take the time to learn what’s normal for yours. I know how much trust it takes to leave your dog and home with someone else, and I take that seriously. I’ll respect your routine, communicate openly, and send plenty of photos and updates so you always know how things are going. My availability is currently very flexible, and I’m happy to work around your pet’s routine.

Safety and trust come first when I’m caring for someone else’s pet. I’m calm, attentive, and respectful of the routines and boundaries you have in place for your dog. I’ll follow your care instructions closely, keep an eye on their behavior and surroundings, and never make assumptions about what your dog needs or is comfortable with. I’ll also treat your home with the same care and respect I would want someone to show mine.

I highly recommend Eric to care for your pet. He has done an excellent job caring for my dog and taking him for walks on many occasions. Eric is responsible, caring and conscientious....but most of all he has an awesome attitude and has bonded with my pet. My dog actually gets excited to see him and Eric genuinely is excited to see and spend time with my dog as well!!
Eric is one of the most caring human beings I’ve ever met. The amount of love and kindness he showed to my little frenchie Cash is unparalleled. He treated Cash as if he were his own. Eric went above and beyond to care for Cash as identical to my daily routine as possible. He was receptive to my requests and daily plan, and he even sent regular updates and pictures while I was gone. Eric truly is an excellent caregiver for my dog, and I would trust him anytime.
Eric has cared for my Border Collie, Milo, many times before and I would ask him to every time again! I am so grateful to have someone I can 100% trust to care for Milo if I am away or in a pinch. Eric has listened to my concerns regarding whether or not Milo is getting enough exercise. I know I can always count on Eric to help me out if needed to satisfy Milo’s high energy needs. It is evident the love that Eric has for dogs. He is knowledgeable, confident, and gifted with every animal I’ve seen him come in contact with. I highly recommend hiring Eric if you need help with your pet!

Schedule
My schedule is currently very flexible, so I’m available throughout the week for walks, drop-ins, and house sitting. I’m happy to work around your pet’s established routine and can accommodate different schedules and care needs.

- The more I know about your dog, the better! I’d especially like to know their normal routine, personality, likes and dislikes, feeding or medication needs, walking habits, triggers, and any behaviors I should be aware of. Even the little details are helpful because they give me a better idea of what’s normal for your dog and how to make them comfortable.
