A Premium Pet Care Experience

Pet care experience

Hi there! My name is Eric and I have been a pet care provider all my life. I owned a private pet care business for almost 8 years (Eric Curry’s Pets; @ericcurryco) that I sold in January 2021. In my first 6 1/2 years, I served over 1,000 unique pets. Before starting my business, I was on track to go to veterinary school, and have worked under 5 veterinarians, including a mobile vet, and at a spay-neuter clinic. You may recognize me from when I worked at San Francisco’s first pet shop, The Animal Company. I taught Pet-CPR and First Aid & have a fair amount of experience with senior cats & dogs, as well as dogs who are reactive & need to avoid interactions with passers-by while out on walks. I can also trim nails, give oral/injectable medicine, administer fluids, etc. I have a pretty flexible schedule; I own a consulting business and travel all over the city for work. I usually don’t work outside of San Francisco- feel free to inquire about my travel rates & availability. Probably not the best fit for a dog who needs someone around the entire day, but if your dog can be left alone for a few hours here & there we might be a good fit 👍🏽 I work remotely so I am pretty flexible in terms of adapting to your pet’s needs. I’m also pretty good at responding to call/text/email right away for added peace of mind.

Can’t say enough good things about Eric. Super prompt, responsive, great with both people and dogs. Our teenage Aussie shepherd can be really wary of strangers (especially men) and Eric approached him with total calm confidence. Cedar’s now in love with him. Thank you so much Eric, we’ll see you soon!

From what we could tell, Eric did a sufficient job keeping up with our cat's regimented schedule. She requires insulin injections every 12 hours, which he was successful with. Eric didn't initially share updates, but after we asked, he was good about sending photos and status reports regularly. He left the house mostly tidy, apart from leaving a fair amount of what appeared to be black hair dye on the wall of the shower, which stained the grout. On the scale of things, not the end of the world. The cat got her medicine and some company, which was our primary concern.

Eric was the first dog sitter we’ve hired. He stayed with our dog for a week. We chose him for his extensive experience with pet sitting and his calm and patient demeanor with Peanut when they first met. Peanut is very scared of new people and it took her a few days to warm up and trust Eric. I could tell from the photos and videos he sent daily that he was following her lead and gaining her trust over time. I appreciated that he sent updates on Peanut and was also attentive to our house when rain storms rocked the city. We returned from our trip to a happy dog and the house was just as we had left it. I will definitely hire Eric again!

I am a fairly active person and love being outdoors. With that being said, I am also good to hang out inside and do busy work if your pet isn’t so active.
