Pet care experience
I adopted my first dog in 1994 and have yet to be without a canine companion. After the lose of Sligo, a handsome chocolate lab, I started a part-time job at a dog daycare facility. It was like therapy and at the same time a great job. It was my introduction to becoming a pet care professional. I've been a full-time dog walker for the last 5 years and started my own business in 2015. I have experience with many breeds and temperaments, puppies and senior dogs as well. Most walks are with an individual dog or multiple dogs from the same household. I feel individual attention is good for the dog and gives us a chance to bond and allows me to become familiar with their walking style. Even though I'm a dog person, I have lots of experience caring for cats, fish, and caged birds.

Eric B provides an excellent dog walking service! He is professional, totally reliable, obviously loves dogs and is very competent and confident handling our very large dog who is still learning how to be comfortable around other dogs. I highly recommend him to provide dog care!
Erric Burris has been a great companion for our 11-year-old dog. He is utterly reliable in confirming scheduling, has an easy, calming manner with animals, is flexible and responsive to clients' special requests, and his post-walk follow up is always friendly and reassuring. I recommend him most highly.
Eric is the best. He is super reliable and always puts in the extra effort when needed. I have a large dog who can be quite a handful and Eric is very agreeable about managing my dog's eccentricities. Eric has been walking my dog regularly for over a year and I can't imagine a more capable and caring dog walker.
I have been using Eric for 4 years of my dog's life. He takes great care of my 120lb Italian Mastiff breed (Cane Corso) and my three cats. He is always dependable, easy to work with, notices necessary details about my pets if there is any health issue and my home if anything is out of the ordinary. We had to leave the area for a year and when we returned my dog who is eternally stoic was super excited to see him again. I have had other walkers who have had difficulty with my dog’s stubbornness but he has always been able to manage her easily. I highly recommend.

Some dogs are nervous or anxious meeting new people, so its preferable everybody meets before services begin. I like to know their routine, habits, and location of dog walking accessories. If a meet can't happen then I take it slow, giving the dog a chance to get to know me and feel more comfortable.
A typical day
I live just a few blocks from Sligo Creek, a very dog and people friendly trail system interspersed with parks. I take Carmela out at least 2 times a day for a hike and almost always play in our backyard. If the weather is dodgy its no problem to play inside and take potty breaks in the yard.
