Having grown up with dogs since I was a child, I've always loved dogs and had a strong connection with them. Currently back east my family has 4 dogs, you could say it's a full house. All pitbulls but some of the most adoring and best dogs we've ever had - it's all about how you raise them and the love and attention they get. Therefore I would surely give your dog all the attention I can as I understand the value and love behind it. Having dog sat during my summers in high school as well, I used to train a labradoodle, an intelligent dog that made my summers so enjoyable. I communicate with dogs as though they're family, because maybe they're not a part of mine but they are someone else's and will be treated like my own. Living near a handful of parks, I would surely take them to go for walks throughout the neighborhood. Sometimes I work from home too which would make it even more convenient to spend time with your best friend.
