Pet care experience
I grew up around my aunt who trained puppies for Guiding Eyes. I was taught how to be respectful and properly take care of dogs from an elementary school age. I had my own dog for 9 years, and I walked her every other day for the majority of those years. I was one of my dog's 2 main caretakers in her older years, so I have 3 years of experience caring for senior dogs. I learned how to adjust her walk schedule, kept up with her meds, and how to make her more comfortable and accommodate the issues that come with old age. I have personal experience with many different dog breeds and lots of other animals, and everytime I meet a new animal, I create trust first. Having trust between a caretaker and a pet is one of the most important things in a relationship between pets and caretakers.

Ennis is kind, loving, and compassionate, especially towards animals, being a wildlife fish and conservation biology major and all. They have great street smarts and are always looking out for possible dangers on the roads, this skill has been honed since they have been at Davis, and bike/ road safety is a must-know. I believe that Ennis will be an amazing asset to Rover and all the pets they will be taking care of.

Lastly, I will make sure that your pet is not only taken care, but happy and having fun. Whether that be with a walk, playing with toys, or even having a treat.

Allergies, medications, aggressive behaviors, and dislikes are very important for me to know about beforehand. When I'm prepared for your pet's situation I can create a safe, healthy, and fun plan for taking care of your pet.
A typical day
I will make sure to do things that your pet enjoys, whether that be long walks or playing with toys. I will make sure that your pet has an enriching and fun time under my care. I plan on scouting out fun spots for your pet that are accessible for them before going on walks, but my personal favorite walking spot is the redwood section of the UCD arboretum.

Availability
I'm currently a college student, so my availability is between and after classes. I have at least 4 hours every afternoon that I can set aside to walk or otherwise care for pets. I'm also available at any time on weekends.
