The majority of my experience with animals has come simply from growing up with them- born into a house with seven cats and two wonderfully sweet rescue Dobermans, I was lucky enough to never live in a house that was absent of animals. Obviously, there were nuances to growing up with animals, especially so many who were adopted, and very likely haven't had the coziest of lives so far. I believe getting to interact with rescue animals is what has truly helped me develop as a caregiver and lifelong animal lover. Dogs have entered my household, displaying anything from aggression, to genuine fear and shyness, and getting to watch them transform into an integral member of our family was always one of the greatest privileges of my childhood, and I would be honored to receive the privilege to grow alongside your pet on its journey! Aside from 24 years of my life living alongside rescue dogs, cats, horses, and even a snake or two, I have also tried my best to pursue animal care outside of my household. I have worked with dogs professionally, at an outdoor daycare and boarding facility. There, I supervised playgroups for large and small dogs, prepared and distributed meals, did daily wellness checks, and administered basic medications. I have volunteered at several animal shelters, assisted with adoption events, worked at rescue farms, assisted equine veterinarians, and volunteered in marine research! More than anything, however, I love spending time outside with dogs, or cuddled up on the couch with a cat, and I would be absolutely honored to become a part of you and your pets routine!
