I am a nurturing yet firm person when it comes to my interactions with others (including four legged friends). I have a natural understanding of engaging calming, and leading dogs (cats, squirrels, etc.). Also, when boarding, I allow the dog to be their own person with their own space, which in turn settles them down. This allows us to still be a "pack" in their eyes, with me as the rational, zen "head." The dogs benefit from and value the opportunity of being a Beta, because more often than not, these dogs are the Alphas in their family. Being and alpha means being vigilant of and in charge of your loved ones' well-beings. When with me, they are the beloved betas whom know that whatever happens, I am there to be an ally
