I have worked with dogs all over North America and very quickly learn their preferences. Most of the dog walking I have done for other people's dogs was in Denali Alaska where the wildlife, rivers, and forests add challenge to keeping the dogs' attention but even on the occasions I was able to let them off lead they always stayed close. I love dogs so much that I had 5 in my bridal party that were regular walking buddies. I always had dogs growing up and was the "trainer" in the family who could always get them to follow directions no matter the distractions. I always carry good bottled water in case my client gets thirsty and watch to insure they continue to enjoy without excess tiredness.
