No dog too big or small!
Pet care experience
I run a dog daycare/boarding business called Wizzy Walkies. I am licensed (BCP Licence number: AAL152287), fully insured, trained in dog first aid & CPR and canine behaviour. My whole life I have been around dogs. I grew up in the Netherlands in a forest area with lots of dogs in my family. We have had anything from small to giant breeds and so I am experienced with a wide variety of dog breeds. I have always been around cats and dogs and can safely say I probably love them more than humans..! I named my daycare after my own 13 month old Golden Retriever, Wizzy. I know I am biased.. but he is an extremely sweet boy, always been very good and calm for his age, wouldn't hurt a fly and just wants to be friends with every dog he meets. He is very playful but he can sense when a dog is nervous and knows to be patient with them. I have had nothing but great feedback about him from previous clients. I know it can be scary leaving your dog with someone you don't know, so I always make sure to send lots of photos and updates. Meet and greets are required before the stay so we can discuss your dog's needs and your dog can make themselves familiar with where they might be staying. Wizzy and I will give your dog the best care we possibly can and they will be in safe hands!
Reviews
Finn had a wonderful day with Emma. It was his first time away from us (he’s 8 months old) and he didn’t miss us for one minute! Emma sent us photos throughout the day of him having a great time which was so reassuring for us. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Emma. Thank you for doing such a great job Emma.
Emma is a really friendly and welcoming person. We immediately felt at ease with her and had no issue leaving our dogs with her and whizzy. She sent regular updates and photos showing how much fun they were having. Emma is really intune to their individual needs and did everything to make them feel happy and safe. I highly recommend Emma if you need a home from home for your dogs.
I can categorically say, my dog has expended an awful lot of energy enjoying himself. Emma is a lovely kindhearted animal lover and has somehow managed to use her dog whispering skills to tame my dog....his recall seems to have improved during his stay. Probably too tired playing with Emma's dog to argue. In all seriousness, Emma took great care of Toffee and would gladly trust him in her care again.
I didn’t book through Rover but still want to leave a review as I was so happy with the service. Emma looked after my boxer Max for a couple of days ,on their walk he stepped on something sharp and cut his leg open. She immediately informed me and bandaged his leg , I was at work and couldn’t leave and she took him to the vet immediately. It really comforted me to know she’s trained in dog first aid and she knew what she was doing. The only negative thing I can think of is Wizzy was so cute I wanted to take him home!! 😂 but in all seriousness thank you emma Max had such a good time with you and thank you for caring for him like he’s you’re own xx

My house is in a very safe family area, with a fenced off garden and a security system with cctv in and outside the house. The dogs are allowed to free roam downstairs and we have a nice lounge area. I normally keep the back door open so the dogs can go in and out of the garden as they please. There are lots of toys and places for them to have naps and they're allowed on our big comfy sofa. I usually recommend bringing your dogs bed if they spend the night, but we have a big crate available if they prefer. Most dogs tend to sleep on our sofa which is also completely fine.

Information Emma V. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know in advance any information you consider useful. I would like to know about energy levels, health issues/allergies (if any), if they’re ok with other dogs, temperament, commands they know etc. I accept intact males and females, but females must not be in season during their stay. I can’t accept excessive humpers unfortunately as it can be stressful on the other dogs. When answering questions about your dog, don't be afraid to be honest. Dogs will be dogs, there are no right or wrong answers - I just need to be aware so I can act accordingly :) Meet and greets are required for new dogs.
A typical day
I usually walk the dogs through the woods and Slades Farm. I am very happy to take them for a lengthy walk if required. My boy Wizzy has many toys so there’s lots for them to play with. Every dog is unique, so I will always ask you what your dog likes to do so I can cater to their needs.

Availability
Whenever I have dogs over, they have my full attention and they never go unsupervised. I love to take the dogs out for small trips to Slades Farm, which is a 10 minute walk from me. They will get all the exercise and stimulation they need when they're with me. I normally take the dogs for 2 walks a day, but will always ask you how much exercise your dog needs in case this is too much.
