Pet care experience
Hi! My name is Emma! I am a former doggie daycare attendant and pet owner with a passion for making sure pets get the best care possible! Currently, I have three pets, two cats named Lily & Goose, and a rabbit named Pluto. Throughout my life I have had dogs, all large breeds! I also spent a year working as a dog daycare attendant and dog walker and have had experience with many different breeds, sizes, temperaments, and special needs. In addition to pups, cats, and rabbits, I have experience with hamsters, guinea pigs, mice, gerbils, birds, some reptiles, and chickens! I value my relationships with my pets tremendously and I always strive to provide individualized care. In terms of availability, I work as a paraprofessional educator in an elementary school Monday through Friday. I am available some evenings, Tues-Fri, and some weekends (I am also a graduate student and take some weekend courses). Because of the limitations to my availability, I am only accepting repeat clients at the moment.

Emma is amazing! One of my cats got sick right before I left for my trip, so I had to give Emma instructions for administering his new medications over text. Emma more than rose to the occasion, making sure my cats got all of their medications (which is not an easy task), monitoring my sick cat’s symptoms and keeping me updated every visit. She was also super responsive and considerate when communicating. My cats couldn’t have been in better hands.
Emma was awesome with Oliver and Joey. She is super responsible, communicated very efficiently with us, and the house remained clean and tidy during her time there. We will definitely call her again if we need it!
I was so lucky that the first time I tried Rover I met Emma. She is incredibly friendly and responsible. Being new to the app she helped me navigate how to set up a schedule/make changes. My dog is 12 years old so he didn’t need 30 minute walks but Emma knew the exact amount of walking he needed and then played in my apartment with him until her time was up. When she went on vacation she let me know far in advance so I could make plans for my dog while she was away. As I was usually at work when Emma arrived we didn’t cross paths too many times but when I did see her Murphy was thrilled to see her and completely comfortable going out with her instead of me. She walked my dog for the majority of the summer 3-4 times a week. I couldn’t recommend a better pet sitter ! Thanks for everything Emma!
Great sitter! My new puppy Stones loved playing with her and it put me at ease as a first time puppy mom!

Coming from someone who leaves a packet when my own pets are being cared for by a sitter, I always take extra care to follow all parts of the routine, going above and beyond for pets' safety. I have learned specific measures to take through my past experiences working with professionals in the industry and many clients. I am confidently able to exercise dogs in fenced-in areas such as private yards and dog parks or provide exercise through walks. Regardless of what service I am providing, individualizing my approach in order to cater to each pet's personality and needs is key. Additionally, I always provide regular updates so that pet parents can stay in the loop!

I am a huge believer that every animal is unique and I want to work to get to know each of my clients and their pets. Please let me know of any favorite toys or treats, daily medications, typical routines, and anything else that is important :)
A typical day
I love watching dogs explore and get excited! I can do walks, runs, and/or provide off-leash/yard time for daily exercise. I'm a great ball thrower and I also enjoy a good game of tug-o-war. For my feline friends, I try to bring in a calm energy, depending on the cat of course. Happy to spend time cuddling on the couch or playing with toys like a wand toy!

Availability
