Hey there! My name is Emma & I am a pre-veterinary student who graduated from Columbia University in 2016 (B.A in Biology). I have 13 years of experience interning/working for veterinarians and have a deep love for/knowledge of animal health and wellness. After graduating, I accidentally stumbled into the world of animal rescue work and, without meaning to, became NYC's youngest highly active independent animal rescuer (feel free check out my rescue work on instagram @bradford_tnr). In the past 3 years I have rescued/rehabbed/vetted/rehomed over 350 animals (of over 10 different species). Doing animal rescue full time has been really arduous work, but it has been incredibly rewarding, and these experiences allowed me to deeply strengthen and expand my knowledge and skills surrounding animals health and wellness. My particular area of expertise involve the care of animals with special needs (illness/injury, complex dosing regimens, subq fluids, diabetic care, behavioral issues, assisted feeding, mobility issues, exotic species, hospice/palliative care, etc). My greatest passion is the study of companion animal nutrition, and I offer nutrition/wellness consulting as a part of my petsitting services. I am highly experienced in work with a wide variety of species of animals, and am comfortable with dogs of all sizes/breeds. My rates are entirely dependent upon the individual needs of the animal(s) being cared for. When an animal is in my care, their comfort, health, happiness, safety and wellbeing are of the utmost importance. I bring a level of skill, knowledge, good energy and attention to detail that set me apart from the average petsitter, and have earned me a very loyal client following who value my ability to provide their pets with the highest quality of care.
