Pet care experience
Everyone I know refers to me as the "animal-whisperer" because I can befriend every animal I meet, no matter how shy they are at first. Some real life quotes from clients and friends: "Wow, I've never seen him come up to someone and say hi that fast" "I didn't think she'd remember you because it's been two years, but the second she heard your footsteps she was wagging her tail and trying to go outside" "woof!" (translation: I love you so much Emma!) In all seriousness, I provide every animal I meet and care for with more love than they know what to do with, and I've taken care of many different types of animals over a wide range of ages. I've had pets my whole life and have been pet-sitting for others for over a decade.

I like to learn a lot about each pet's daily routine and emulate that as much as possible. I know how much exercise dogs need and will give it to them, whether it's playing in a yard, a long walk with stops to sniff, or a trip to the dog park. Whatever discipline your dog has will be continued with me, and good behavior rewarded with a lot of love (and treats, if that's how you train them)!

Please let me know if your pet(s) have any special needs! I'm very experienced in tricking pets into eating medicine, I've given subcutaneous infusions and other meds to pets before, so I'm comfortable doing whatever your dog needs to stay healthy! However I do like to know how you usually do it and what makes them more comfortable. Even if your dog has no special needs I would want to know if they like other people, other dogs, etc, whether or not to keep them away from excitable small children, and what will make them happy while I'm taking care of them!
A typical day
As mentioned, I typically try to keep dogs on their daily routine if they have one. I love taking dogs to dog parks because they're usually so excited to be there! I can also play fetch, tug of war, and chase them around a yard. I've done that for previous petsitting clients whose dogs did not get along with other dogs, and it was a great way to entertain them and get their energy out!

Availability
I am a medical student with a flexible schedule as I can study pretty much everywhere. I do have some mandatory classes but usually no more than two a week so I can work around your schedule. Pet sitting is a stress relief for both me and you (and for your pets)!
