I have had a passion for dogs since I first laid my eyes on one. I begged my parents for a dog (they were previously cat people I KNOW RIGHT?…) when I was in middle school. Making PowerPoint presentations and forcing the family to take personality quizzes to find out what which breed perfectly matched our family atmosphere. So if anything, at least you know I’m thorough! I was always the first call from my neighbors when they needed a pet, or babysitter. I volunteered as a dog walker at Helping Hounds Dog Rescue throughout high school and loved every minute of it. I’m a caregiver by nature, and I would do anything in my power to make sure your dog is well taken care of and loved while you’re away! Always a safe bet to call your friendly, neighborhood Emma when you need someone to check in on your pup!

Emma has been walking our two dogs for years now and always does a wonderful job. Apollo is an anxious pup and she knows how to handle him so that he has a safe and successful walk. Our other dog Beau tends to pull and she has done an amazing job working with him. My wife and I highly recommend her!
We call Emma the dog whisperer…. Her love for animals, especially dogs goes way back to when she convinced her father and I that we needed a dog. Before getting our own, I had her volunteer at Helping Hounds, a local Syracuse dog rescue center. She had to take several hours of training before she was allowed to walk the dogs. Her soul is happiest when accompanied by her dog or any of her brothers’ lovey pups!! And it appears that any dog loves her too!! She just has a way with all furry friends. I would recommend your pet to be in the hands and heart of Emma for whatever your need. Very caring, loving and responsible young adult.
I’ve know Emma for 8+ years and shes extremely responsible. I have 2 mid-size dogs and have had her watch them while I’m out of town. I don’t have a worry in the world when she dog sits. She even sends me updated pictures when she’s with them. I can trust her to be on time, take care of them and love them.

My dog, Tucker, is pretty easy going at home. However, I would prefer to cater to the individual needs of your dogs in their own homes. Tuck is a spoiled boy that does not like to share his people!! I would feel most comfortable with dogs who walk using harnesses, as they provide more support in the pulling department. I have a lot of patience and love for these fur babies and just want to make sure they are comfortable with me as well. If there are any specific instructions on being let out, or walked, I would love it if it was also plainly written out somewhere as a refresher to make sure everything is handled to your liking. After all, it’s all about the dogs!
Information Emma P. would like to know about your pet
Any special treatments they like to receive (treats coming in from being outside and things like that) and behavioral issues. If they get along with other dogs or need to stay away from them entirely. Anything you deem important for me to know would be fabulous.
A typical day
If your dog is into playing fetch, I’m all for it. We can play tug with a toy or just hang out and give lots of head pats, ear scratches and belly rubs! Whatever your pup likes, they will get! Couch dogs are my personal favorite… nothing better than chilling out on the sofa watching tv and getting lots of pets and loving.

My schedule is pretty flexible! I work for my family’s small business on weekends and fill in for people when necessary during the week. I have to be up early for work around 5:30AM, so early mornings don’t scare me! I’d prefer a mid-day and night check ins, so I have some time for my own pooches at home.
