Service dog trainer/dog walker

Pet care experience

I have raised two service dogs. I also grew up with a dog and a cat and now own two cats and have walked neighborhood dogs for years (including a blind husky). I have experience in clicker training and practice patience and empathy with my canine pals. I currently work 8-4 so I am available on the weekends all day and in the evening beginning at 4:30. If far enough in advance I can also schedule you on my two WFH days each week. I am interested in one-time jobs as well as consistent doggy care. I love to walk and I'd love to meet your pup! I have a 2-bed apartment in a private house with an unfenced back yard. I have two cats, one who loves dogs and the other who is curious but will probably hide. I'm okay with hosting dogs who are friendly or indifferent to cats.

This was my first time using Rover and I could not have found a better pet and house sitter!! Emma was absolutely amazing! I was so nervous about leaving my babies, (an 8yo dog and a 2yo snake) but Emma could not have been more comforting and wonderful, keeping me updated and sending photos and videos often. She was very gentle and loving with my babies, I know they were well loved and cared for while I was away and with good company. On top of it all, my apartment was well taken care of and squeaky clean when I came home! My expectations were exceeded in every way, I cannot thank Emma and Hannah enough!!

I would highly recommend Emma for dog-walking and dog-sitting services for your favorite furry friend. Emma is very responsible, knowledgeable and friendly. She loves animals and it shows in her interactions with them. Emma has trained service dogs and she is the reason service dogs-in-training walk the campus at the University of Pittsburgh. She worked with a local service dog organization and did all of the legwork, fighting and advocating to get dogs on campus and even in the dorms. She is passionate about animals and animal rights so Fido - or Rover - are in great hands when they're with Emma!

Emma is absolutely amazing and I trust her completely with my dog. My dog can tend to be anxious, but Emma is so patient with her and truly caring. She provides amazing service and truly loves working with dogs. She is reliable and a good communicator.

A typical day

Around your neighborhood or mine or Goodale Park if allowed/nearby. I also like to teach dogs tricks (mental stimulation) as well as run with them and play ball with them. Snuggles are also enjoyable!!
