I have always loved animals and constantly begged my parents for a dog, but we traveled a lot so it was not really in the cards for us. Until we moved to SB where we found this senior beagle on craigslist. The college student that had her could no longer care for her so we picked her up the next day. We named her Lucy. Lucy's age and various health problems made it so that she could not be left alone for very long. She had many medications which I often administered and at one point we had to give her fluids in our home to help with declining health. I am no stranger to senior dogs and am fully aware that they sometimes require more to be taken care of properly and lovingly. I also have much experience with puppies since my cousin who got her dog as a puppy is often around and brings her little Nala with her. I often watch Nala when my cousin is at work and I thoroughly enjoy it. Cats: I volunteered at Resqcats for a season as well! Cleaning facilities and socializing the cats and kittens. This was one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life! I just graduated UC Davis and have come home to see what is next for me. I am currently working part time at a financial planning firm so I have some extra time to spare and would love to spend that time with our furry friends! Since I have had a senior dog, I am more hands-on with the dog/animal I am watching/walking. Safety is my number one priority, for both the animals and for myself. So I really like to get to know the people and the furry friends I am working with so that I am fully informed and able to adjust myself to the needs of each family.
