Pet care experience
I love animals! Not only have I been taking care of my family's dog for the past 7 or 8 years, but I also have been assisting my grandmother with her own pet sitting business since I was 9. At other points in time, I have also watched friend's and neighbor's pets. Additionally, while I was in high school, I would volunteer my time at Center County Paws Animal Shelter. As of this past summer, I adopted a stray kitten I found, she was very ill and I was told that she may need to have her left eye removed due to the infection. But I am proud to report that I have since nursed her back to health and she acts as if it never even happened! I am a full time student at Penn State, as well as a part time nanny for an adorable baby! Due to those commitments, much of my week is full balancing classes with work. With that being said, my schedule is quite flexible, I just cannot commit to anything before 5 pm during weekdays. I'm much more flexible when it comes to the weekends. In order to care for your furry family members, I do the following: -When I first enter the home, I allow your pet to come to me first. After all, this is about their comfort. -Once they have concluded that I am friendly, I take a few minutes to get to know them a little bit. Just because we can't speak the same language does not mean we can't communicate. Depending on the animal's body language, I will either proceed more excitedly or more timidly to mirror their behavior and to allow them to become more comfortable with me sooner. -After introductions, I will check their water and/or food dish (most people ask me to refill the water dish ASAP). This is to ensure your friend is well hydrated. -At this time I would also take the pet outside to do their business. Depending on your living situation, or your pet's boundary training level, this would consist of either me letting them outside on their own, or taking them outside on a leash. -I generally am also asked to walk dogs around the block or so. If it is a cat that I am looking after, most owners just have me skip this part. -Once all the important stuff is out of the way, I make sure to stick around for a bit (around 20-30 minutes) to play with your fluffy friend so that they don't get too lonely while you are gone.

Emma is excellent !!! She is always very responsive and takes great care of your animals. Thank you.
Emma was amazing. Above and beyond!! Was great with our dogs. Highly recommend..
Emma was Great with our 2 German Shorthaired pointers! She was very responsive when we text her while we were away and felt comfortable that our fur kids were being taken care of. One of our dogs had some stomach issues while we were away- Emma went to the store to buy the can pumpkin we told her would help him feel better! When we take another trip we will be contacting Emma to watch our dogs again! Thank you so much for taking care of our house and dogs!
Emma took extra time to meet Penny and Mai before taking care of them. She bonded with both pups and did a fabulous job with their care. She was very responsive to messages and let us know how things were going. It was so nice to not have to worry about our fur babies while away in vacation. Thank you! Highly recommend!!

Information Emma M. would like to know about your pet
I would very much appreciate it if you'd let me know ahead of time if your dog needs any special care such as taking medicine. Also, please let me know if your dog has a tendency to either ignore or simply does not understand commands such as sit, stay, heel, or lay down.
A typical day
Depending on what you're comfortable with, I would be more than happy to take your pet on a walk around a local park. When I take my own dog out, we love going to our local public parks to run around in!
