Pet care experience
I grew up with dogs and a variety of pets since I was born! I was the "go to" for giving dogs a bath, taking dogs on walks, and helping them move around as they got older. I also grew up around geckos, hermit crabs, scorpions, hamsters, snakes, and tarantulas. The "creepy crawly" animals don't scare me, I love them all! I love cats too! Unfortunately I am allergic to cats, so I cannot keep cats with me but I can pay them a visit! Growing up, I had a handful of experience being a sitter for dogs. I know when to give dogs space and when they need some love and attention! I also volunteered at a local animal shelter for about 4 years as a teen/young adult where I walked dogs and completed "house-keeping" tasks as needed. I have minimal experience with training dogs, but this is a skill I would like to improve on. I'm willing to meet you where you're at, so don't hesitate to reach out!

It’s very easy to write a recommendation for Emma. Coming from a large and close extended family with roughly 13 dogs among us, I would trust Emma to treat any of them as she would a baby human. That is to say she would treat any dog with love, tenderness, patience, and joy. I believe she has the world’s dogs divided into two categories; dogs she’s already pet and those she really wants to pet. There is no third category. In addition, I’ve witnessed Emma with high energy puppies as well as older dogs and both are afforded the requisite energy, care, and empathy you would want in a top-tier doggie caregiver. I would be seriously surprised if you found anyone better than Emma to take care of your dog. Just ask your dog, they’ll tell you.
I highly recommend Emma as a responsible and loving pet caregiver. Emma has taken care of my pets on several occasions, and she has always shown a great level of care and attention towards them. Emma has a natural love for animals, and she takes her responsibilities as a pet caregiver very seriously. Emma is always punctual and reliable when it comes to feeding, exercising, and caring for my pets. She is very attentive to their needs and always ensures they are comfortable and happy. Emma also has a great deal of patience and understanding when it comes to working with animals, and she knows how to handle them with care and respect. I'm more than happy to visit your pets at your home! I will treat your house and pets as if they were my own. If a mess is made, I will clean it up. If you have a specific diet and schedule for your pet, I will follow it. If your pet needs to go for a walk, I will walk them. I know some pets can feel stressed when their owners leave and vice versa. So, I want to help them and help you feel as comfortable as possible. :)

I'm very open and understand that each pet has their own preferences and needs. Please let me know if they have a specific diet, condition, and schedule they need to follow. I'm comfortable giving dogs medications, but I don't have experience with administering injections. Each pet has their own energy levels as well, so let me know if they are very active or more sedentary. If there's anything else you think I should know, please feel free to let me know!
A typical day
I have experience with younger dogs who have a lot of energy and older dogs that would prefer to nap. If they are more energetic, I would love to take them on a walk and explore nearby parks and trails. Some of the dogs I've taken care of love car rides, so that is something else we could do as well. I am open to other suggestions since each animal is different!

Availability
Most weekdays I can visit after 5:00 PM and/or during my lunch break. On weekends if I am in town, I can visit most times in the day. I do travel some weekends, but I will let you know ahead of time if I will not be in town.
