Pet care experience
Hi I’m Elle (Emma Louise)! I’ve had animals my whole life - I grew up on a farm so have been around mostly working animals (e.g. sheepdogs with lots of energy!), horses, sheep and cows - as well as always having pet cats (two of which recently died ages 20 and 19). I currently have one lazy house cat, who is my pride and joy! I’ve regularly looked after friends’ pets so I want to begin offering my services for local neighbours in need of some ad-hoc help and support. I love animals dearly and we can’t currently offer a dog a house due to work commitments, so this is the perfect way for me to spend more time with dogs especially - but of course happy to discuss other pets as well.

First we’d have a short meeting where I would meet you and your pet in your home, to ensure we’re all happy. From there, it’s really following your lead - what do you want for your pet, what is their routine, where do you like us to be (e.g. any rooms to avoid) that kind of thing. What are their favourite activities, treats, ways to be rubbed - all good things to know! Every pet and family is different and I can’t wait to get to know your pet.

A typical day
Every pet is different and requires unique care. Are they energetic and want a ball thrown a lot? Done! Are they lazy and need encouragement? I will get a sense from you first as to their likes and dislikes and build a fun session around that.

Availability
I currently work from home two days a week so on Wednesdays and Fridays I am available for your pet care needs. My schedule is pretty flexible so I can drop in as needed, or work from your house - whatever is preferred!
