Pet care experience
I grew up with dogs and cats and pet sitting for neighbors’ pets, and I currently have 2 cats and a 10 month old GSD mix. I have also volunteered walking shelter dogs so I have a lot of experience with dogs of different sizes and temperaments. I have also volunteered regularly at a cat shelter. I will respect whatever level of attention your pet seems to feel comfortable with and try to reinforce training if there are things you are working on with your pet. I have experience with getting dogs and cats to take medications. I work from home and my work hours are fairly flexible.

Let me know if your dog has any special medical needs, is reactive (it’s ok if so, but I want to be prepared for managing their reactivity) and what their triggers are, or if there are any other behavioral quirks I should be aware of like resource guarding or a tendency to eat anything off the ground on a walk.
A typical day
It depends on dogs, but we will go on walks, and/or “sniffaries” at a park if your dog is particularly into “reading” the latest news. I am also happy to play fetch, tug, use a flirt pole, or work on training with your dog. If your dog likes food puzzles or is allowed treats like dog popsicles or stuffed kongs I’m happy to prepare and monitor those!

I walk my own dog every morning and evening, but I have plenty of time during the day while she’s napping to come walk yours :)
