Friendly Pet services in Greenwich Borough only

Pet care experience

I am a Professional friendly dog sitter with 7 years experience. I used to work for a Greenwich dog walking company where I would supervise four dogs at a time on a walk. Since working independently I have mainly done dog sitting but can do as hoc walks and day visits. , I really love and enjoy giving your dogs lots of individual attention, I will never walk more than two dogs at a time, so you can be assured your dog is getting a lot of attention and care.. Though I mainly do dog sitting now I can do walks if needed but only really in the Greenwich area. I will always try to meet and greet beforehand and will give your pet a lot of fuss and fun. I am very flexible and adaptable. I am available for ad hoc walks so do get in touch if you need flexibility as well as cat visits if local to me. I enjoy walking and being out in nature. Areas I can do walks in Plumstead, Woolwich, Charlton, Blackheath, Greenwich and Abbey Wood. I cycle locally so can't do any other areas than these. I have experience of walking these breeds, Dachshunds, Beagles, Shibas (hunting breeds are a fav of mine), Cocker spaniels (if i had a dog it would be a blue roan show Cocker for def) Cockerpoos, Pugs, Newfoundland, Golden doodles, Italian Greyhounds, English Toy Terriers, Lurcher, Greyhound, Lakeland Terrier, staff mixes and French Mastiff I can't walk large breeds or strong breeds (like American staffs) if they aren't lead trained. Any Behavioral issues must be stated before walks commence so that any adjustments can be made to meet the dogs needs. I have an interest in dog behavior and would help as much as i can to ensure your dog has a stress free walk I look forward to hearing from you and your doggy friend. Emma I am fully insured with Protectivity for walking, house visits and sitting. Enchanted DBS checked 2023

Emma is the best dog walker I’ve ever had! She looked after my Cocker Spaniel Paddy and he loved her so much. She is completely trustworthy (she stayed in my house once a month while I travelled for work). She really does care about the dogs she’s looking after and goes above and beyond for them. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending her to anyone.

Emma was so kind letting me come to her house to meet her before looking after Oscar. He was very pleased to see her again and she let me know how he was doing on their walk. Would definitely book again.

Emma is fantastic! She sent us a lot of updates on what they did and where they went, also gave him toys and walked him a lot. Our dog enjoyed very much being at Emma's.

I spent time with them, playing with them in the garden, taking them on their walks with schedule set by the owner. I follow instructions for feeding and grooming needs and any medical needs. I watch tv and have cuddles on the sofa. I follow up on any training exercises the owner has set in advance.

Information Emma H. would like to know about your pet

I would need to know if the dog has any behavioral issues and reserve the right to refuse to continue a walk if one is discovered and not disclosed before the walk commences. Examples of behavioral issues Dog on Dog aggression, People aggression, Anxiety and fear. I have no problem walking a dog with these issues, if I am aware of them beforehand but if a dog with dog on dog aggression issues is to be walked off lead, a muzzle must be provided. To protect the dog and other dogs. I won't walk a dog on a choker lead, or use any devices the owner has for training that i feel inhumane. ie shock collars etc I would need to agree with owner if they want dog walked off lead or not I am happy to continue working on any training the owners have undertaken with their dog, to help with routine and consistency.I would also need to know the location of the pets vets and emergency contacts as well as any special needs or medical conditions the pet may have. I would also need to know any alarms , security codes for the property if these apply as well as any further instructions like when the bins go out etc just general house stuff.

A typical day

During any house sit the dog would get a minimum of two 1hr+ walks a day, depending on the dogs needs. I love a doggy cuddle, I have kong, balls etc for walks and treats. I also own a 30ft training lead and a 30ft Large dog extendable lead to use for dogs who need a bit more recall training or just a breed that needs to stay on the lead ( ie certain hunting breeds may not be allowed off for local wildlife restrictions or for their own safety) the leads enable them to get some safe running exercise and a bit of freedom

I have many casual jobs. If given 2 months notice I can make myself completely available to solely be with your dog the whole time on a sit. I can only do one off days with shorter notice as I work other jobs. But best thing to do is to message me first before you book and I will try and accommodate if I can. I am trying to move away from my other casual jobs to do more dog work solely so for a client who can offer regular weekly daycare sits/visits or weekly walks I maybe able to adapt. Please do get in touch. I currently do pet sitting jobs through an outside company to Rover and I get a lot of notice to not work my other jobs at same time.
