Hello! My name is Emma, and I am a graduate student at Western Carolina University. I am home for the summer in Asheville and I would love to help take care of your pets! I love animals and have been petsitting cats and dogs on and off for several summers now. I also have experience with raising and taking care of my own dog, who is currently 14 years old. With COVID19 currently going on, I will make sure to wear a mask and take extreme precautions when walking your pet or boarding them in my home. These precautions can include quarantining myself beforehand, wearing a mask, using gloves, and wiping down services/leash handles with disinfectant. I am new to Rover but not new to petsitting and dogwalking, so please feel free to ask me any questions about my services if you have them!

Emma took care of my special needs French Bulldog while my family was out of the house. My dog's blind, but yet still loves to play. He also requires specific instructions since he is very uncomfortable with unknown surroundings. Emma was incredibly sweet and understanding with him. My dog came back to us well cared for and worn out from plenty of playtime. I would recommend Emma for anyone's pet sitting and walking needs.

A typical day
ACTIVITIES: I can take your dog on walks in your neighborhood, my neighborhood, or any parks and trails that they are familiar with. I will play with your pets daily and am happy to incorporate any toys that they have into a play routine. I will send photo and text updates of my time spent with your pets. HIGH-ENERGY DOGS: I am a runner, and I am happy to alternate between jogging and walking with your dog if that's what they need to get plenty of exercise in! SPACE FOR BOARDING AND DAYCARE: I have a 14 year old husky, golden retriever mix who experiences some anxiety around other dogs, especially when they are young and/or high-energy. Because of this, most dogs will be separated from her with a gate for the duration that they are at my house. I live in a two story house and your dog will be on the bottom floor, where they will have easy access to open space, hardwood floors (for accidents), the yard, and my bedroom. I am happy to show this area to you through Zoom prior to booking if you would like! MORE DAYCARE INFO: Daycare visits do not have to be booked consecutively. I am perfectly fine with one time visits if you just need to drop your dog off for the day! BREEDS: I love ALL dog and cat breeds, and I am comfortable with any sized dog, from tiny to giant. I am fine with shedding, and quite used to it with my own dog! CONTACTING ME: I will not be giving out my personal phone number under any circumstances. My quiet hours set are 9:00pm and 9:00am, so I will not see any messages sent during this time until after 9:00am.
