I’ve grown up around animals of all kinds — fish, turtles, dogs, cats. When I was a senior in high school, a neighborhood cat had 4 kittens, and I fostered them and found homes. The next year, she had 6 kittens which I also fostered and found homes (after this litter, we were able to trap her and have her fixed. Now she is our precious outside Mama Cat, who brings us frightening but very thoughtful gifts). About 6 months ago, my mom and I rescued two sweet aussiedoodles, who are getting along swimmingly with our 3 cats. I’ve grown up with, and still maintain, a deep love for both cats and dogs. They make life so much better!
