My pet care experience started when I was in my early teens when my neighbors began asking me to pet sit for them while on vacation. Since starting and finishing college, most of my pet sitting has been for my parent's old dog, Karley the Corgi. My duties included feeding and walking her 2-3 times a day (and letting her out periodically) and towards the end of her life, giving her medicine 2/3 times a day, carrying her up and down the stairs (because she was too old to do it herself) and cleaning up after her if she got sick or had an accident. In addition, I would play with her or comfort her if she got scared of a storm or fireworks. I grew up riding horses and playing with the small and medium sized dogs that lived with the farm owners. I am most comfortable with small and medium sized dogs. I love to play and cuddle with dogs.
