Pet care experience
I grew up in a household full of animals. Dogs, cats, horses, birds, you name it. I have dog-sat for many friends and neighbors over the years and for as long as an entire summer. I enjoy long walks, hikes, and have great time management when it comes to feeding schedules and potty breaks. Some of my best friends and roommates are professional dog trainers, and while I am not, I have learned a lot from them over the years and strive to use best practices with all of the animals I care for. I recently worked at a wildlife rescue center for 6 months and learned a lot from the vets there as well.

Emma was awesome! She communicated with me the entire time she watched our dogs and would send me pictures and updates on how they were doing. It felt so good to not have any worries the entire time we were out of town. She also took them on a walk without me even asking. I would absolutely recommend her for watching your pups!
Flexible and took well care of Pip!
Emma was a very engaged and sweet sitter for our pups. She got them out on wonderful hikes and looked after Yuka when she seemed to have a sore paw. Came home to happy well-cared for doggos. Their time with Emma was very well spent. She also left the. House clean and tidy and even ran the vacuum (much appreciated during shedding season). Highly recommend.
Emma is amazing! She was so thoughtful, loving and responsible while taking care of my dog, Minnow. Minnow was legitimately sad when Emma had to leave- they had the best time playing together while I was gone. I absolutely trust Emma with my fur baby, and Minnow can’t wait for her to come back!

I make sure to be on the same page with every dog's owner about their training/disciplinary techniques so I can provide the most clear and helpful instruction. I learn how they are on and off leash and with other dogs and people, then plan walks and play-dates accordingly. I never allow people to give unapproved food items to any animal. I always use the recommended leashes and enforce boundaries that owners have in their home regarding furniture, jumping, begging, etc.

I always like to know how they respond to other dogs and other humans, if they have any medical conditions/special therapies, and their favorite activities/places to go :)
A typical day
I value the importance of giving animals new and engaging experiences! A mixture of play, neighborhood smells, and exercise on the trails is my go-to, as long as those activities work for the individual dog.

I work from home and am self-employed so my schedule is entirely flexible. I currently don't have my own pets at home either, so my primary focus is on providing care for others!
