Hi! I’m Emma. I have loved dogs since I can remember and have always had them in my house. I worked in a veterinary clinic for 5 years as a vet assistant/nurse and in boarding kennels, have canine first aid training and am also a qualified professional dog trainer. I have taught obedience classes, provided private consultations and have worked in dog day care, walking and pet sitting services. I have a degree in canine behaviour and training from the National Dog Trainers Federation in Australia and have worked alongside Dr Garth Jennens (a top canine behaviourist) in Australia who was my mentor. I love all types of dogs but my favourites are working dogs particularly Shetland sheepdogs, Collies, Aussie Shepherds, Golden Retrievers and most toy breeds! I am experienced with cats and many other pets and am very confident and comfortable with them so am happy to look after them too. *PLEASE NOTE: LAST MINUTE REQUESTS ARE DIFFICULT TO ACCOMMODATE WITHOUT A MEET AND GREET

Emma took wonderful care of our 14 year-old American Staffordshire Scout, who is deaf, has some arthritis and requires extra care. Emma stayed in our home and provided that care kindly and perfectly. She asked the right questions when we met and sent us updates while we were away. I never felt worried knowing Scout was in her care. Emma is the best sitter I could have hoped for for our 11 week old pup, Baloo. I was nervous about leaving her for the first time, but Emma made Baloo feel calm and happy about me being away - Baloo had felt comfortable enough to take a nap, and had even learned new tricks by the time I got home! Emma is also very good at staying in touch and responding quickly. She came over for a meet and greet before the booking, and Baloo loved her instantly - she was very pleased to see Emma when she came back for the sitting. She is our go-to sitter for our little pup. I was out of town for 10 days, and Emma did an awesome job of taking care of my 7 month old Springer Spaniel. She took her on walks, and out to restaurants - even taught her some new tricks! Her calm nature was a great fit for my dog Maia who is very social and playful. I would highly recommend Emma to anyone else, and will definitely have her dogsit in the future!
Emma is a complete natural with dogs - she has a calm demeanor and they instantly trust her. She handles them in a way that clearly demonstrates her knowledge as both a trainer and an owner. And most importantly you can see that she loves and cares for them! Highly recommend!
