Pet care experience
Ever since I can remember, I was surrounded by animals. My grandma had a farm and I was taught how to care for all animals - from chickens and cows to dogs and cats. This instilled love and understanding for our furry friends. When I got married, I became a step mom to the sweetest red bone hound - Buddy. He was our baby for 16 years. When he went to heaven, it took us several years of grieving to get another dog. I completely understand how pets become family! Currently we have a large family that includes a German Shepard, a turquoise conure, and a Western bandit gecko (the kids found him freezing outside, so now he is our family member). I raised 5 kids and several pets throughout my life, so my strength is nurturing and loving those around me.

Emma is the best! We had Emma do 3 drop in visits to check on our precious 3 lb Yorkie, Stella while we attended a concert. She was a great communicator and provided updates and pictures of each visit which gave us peace of mind while we enjoyed our evening out. But most importantly, she loved Stella as if she was her own! And Stella loved her and her daughter right back! Thank you so much!
Emma was wonderful! She immediately made me and my dog, Theo, very comfortable. She handled everything just as instructed and her reports made me feel great about having her check in on Theo. We have an adult daughter living with us that was working very long hours while we were away. Emma came in daily and fed, and walked Theo giving him a nice break in between our daughters work hours. We will definitely hire Emma again when we need someone to check in or care for our dog next time we are away.
Emma is amazing! She is professional, responsible, trustworthy, compassionate and so caring with all of my animals! I always have a piece of mind knowing that my pets are taken care of. I highly recommend Emma and will use only her for any of my future pet services!
Emma just has a heart for animals. She resembles a kindergarten teacher, who guides and directs the (in this case, furry) students in a way that want them to follow her lead. Interacting with the dog in a gentle and loving, yet confident, way she is emitting this calm and positive energy that makes the dog both like and obey her. I would trust her with my dog in a heartbeat!

I love walking pets; however, I will respect your wishes and schedule currently set in place. Upon arrival to your home, I will do a visual area sweep for anything out of the ordinary. If I see anything odd or concerning, I will notify you immediately. When I am finished, I will check the doors and/or crate to make sure all is secure. On occasion if I need to take your pet with me, I live on an acre and my yard is fully fenced (with another “small-dog proof” area separately fenced too. Plenty of room to roam.

Please let me know if your pet has special needs or routines and I will honor them. Also any quirks your pet might have. Anything else I need to know to feel them safe and comfortable.
A typical day
I will guide your pet’s walk, while letting them smell all the neighborhood’s new smells and let them explore a bit. If it’s a high energy dog, I will run/brisk walk, play catch, or other fast paced activities with them to help get the energy out. I will “listen” to your pet’s needs.

Availability
I do not work outside of home and have a very flexible schedule to attend to your pet. I will adhere to the schedule you set in place for your beloved pet (as I understand the importance of routine).
