Patient, loving, and firm care

Pet care experience

My parents started the Husky Rescue of Florida when I was born, and I grew up in a house full of foster dogs with a wide variety of special needs. We cared for upwards of 100 dogs by the time I graduated high school, and though I have no pets of my own, I have continued to care for the pets for friends, family members, and clients. I believe firmly in upholding established routines to keep dogs as happy and comfortable as possible in their owners absence, and I truly love every dog that comes into my care! Shy or nervous rescue dogs are no problem, and no dog is too big!

Emma has been just so great with my little guy Riley. He gets very anxious if he's left alone so it had been stressful leaving the house for extended periods, but having Emma drop in to check up has alleviated all that! Somedays I think he's more excited to see her than me!

Emma is not only a fantastic person but an expert when it comes to pet care. I have a senior dog, Salem, who requires medication at specific times and a more attentive eye than my other two pups. Emma didn't bat an eye! She was so loving and efficient with all of my dogs that when I got back from vacation, they were ready to walk out the door with her! Your furry friends will be in great hands with this kind dog whisperer. Emma is now my go-to!

Emma was such a huge help with my dogs when I was out of town. I was nervous to leave them because of some bad experiences in the past, but Emma was so professional, communicative, and kind; most importantly, my dogs loved her!

Emma house-sat for my three dogs while I was out on vacation for the weekend and she did such a fantastic job. My dogs are a bit temperamental and need to be given their medications at noon, so I always have trouble trying to find a sitter that can manage all three and their individual, loud personalities. Emma knocked it out of the park. HIGHLY recommend her and I’m looking forward to book her again.

Safety, trust & environment

Since I grew up with foster dogs, I'm comfortable with a wide variety of services. I can safely and responsibly care for multiple dogs in one household. Administering medicine, complex feeding schedules, and patience with nervous or high energy dogs are all well within my wheelhouse. I have a thorough understanding of dog body language and communication, and I respect the boundaries pets put up with me unless it's an issue of safety. I understand the nerves of trusting a stranger with your beloved pets, and I provide thorough, regular updates about the wellbeing of each animal in my care.

Information Emma A. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if your dog has any special needs or routines that I'll need to meet. Any additional information about their temperament, energy level, and general household rules that you'd like me to uphold in your absence. I want your dog to feel supported and loved!

A typical day

I enjoy working with high-energy dogs on walks or jogs (if the weather is permitting), and I'm always happy to cozy up with a couch potato or offer indoor stimulation if the Florida weather gets out of hand. I take the time to bond with each animal and adjust each day to their needs.
