Your friendly veterinary assistant

Pet care experience

I am thrilled to be starting up my own pet sitting business, Paws & Pastures Pet Care after being a veterinary assistant for 2 years. I have been house sitting and taking care of pets for many years prior to joining the veterinary field. I have also been a farmer for my entire life so I have lots of experience handling pets and livestock and I look forward to meeting your furry friends!

Emily is fantastic! She is extremely trustworthy and I love that she can administer my cat's seizure meds every 12 hours whenever we are away so I never have to worry. She is a vet tech at my veterinary office so I trust her with all of my animals, even my chickens and ducks! She can handle my moody cat (who has kicked out previous sitters before) and she isn't fearful of my rooster. She is just about the friendliest person you will ever meet and always has a warm, welcoming smile on her face. Absolutely recommend!!! She truly is one of a kind and you will not be disappointed in building a connection with her! Just please don’t keep her too busy, because I need her!

Emily did an exceptional job taking care of our dog Copper, cat Tizzy, and our home, while we were on vacation. She is professional, an excellent communicator, and absolutely loves animals. She sent us messages with pictures letting us know how well everything was going. We love our pets like family, so greatly appreciated receiving pics of them while we were away and couldn't be with them. We highly recommend her pet and home service to anyone who is looking for someone. We will definitely have her take care of our pets, and home, again!!

Emily has a genuine love for all animals. I have personally hired her many times to care for my 5-dogs in my home. My entire fur family loves her ❤️ She is dependable, honest, punctual and spends quality time with my dogs when she is with them. I would recommend her without hesitation - she is one of a kind!

Emily is by far our first choice when we need a dog, cat, barn animals or house sitter. We have used her service on several occasions, the last one for a period of three weeks. During that time, she kept the house neat and tidy and stayed in communication with us on a regular basis, eliminating the stress of leaving the animals and house behind. Above all, Emily is trustworthy, and our animals love her. We would be happy to provide personal references upon request.

When taking care of pets in a clients home I ensure that they receive the food and water they require along with mental and physical stimulation. I also have experience with pets some owners my say are "difficult". I also don't have any issues cleaning up an accident your pet may have made.

Information Emily W. would like to know about your pet

As a veterinary assistant I can not make any official diagnostics and can not prescribe medications but I am willing to discuss with owners how to improve senior dogs quality of life, help with mental stimulation for hyperactive dogs, recommended products and supplements. Please let me know if you have a pet that is reactive or has any questionable history with strangers or pet sitters.

A typical day

I love to provide mental and physical stimulation for dogs and also helping with any tasks owners may need assistance with such as cleaning ears, trimming nails, and ensuring the furry friend is happy and safe
