Pet care experience
I've had many different kinds of pups over my lifetime. I love them all, no matter what size or energy level! I've had experience with several pet sitting jobs! I have stayed overnight with two wonderful dogs. I even admistered medications! I came over for playtime for one dog and we played tug and catch for hours! Most recently, I have cared for 2 dogs for the last year. I have my own cats, Simon, Erika, Raspberry, Clementine, and Cheese Toast. I love them dearly. I even take Simon on walks too! I would be willing to do anything for your little loves. I'll walk them, play with them, care for them, and love them as if they were my own. I would be more than thrilled to get the chance to meet and love your fur babies!

Emily was absolutely outstanding. She stayed at our house for 8 nights while we were on vacation and we were truly able to enjoy ourselves knowing that our pups were in loving hands. She's the type of person who radiates kindness. You know she's good people as soon as you meet her, leaving you feeling happy and confident that your animals will be safe and well-cared-for while you're gone. She was very responsive from the moment I reached out about the stay to the moment we came back home. She sent pictures every day without us having to check in and ask for them, which we really appreciated. When we got home, our dogs were their normal, happy selves and we knew they had just had a wonderful staycation with someone who loved on them daily. We highly recommend Emily to anyone who wants to be able to fully enjoy their time away with the knowledge that your animals at home being cared for by a very loving and responsible person.
Emily was our dog walker and sitter for overnights during her senior year at UMW. While we are sad to see her go, we are so very grateful for her loving care of both our Roxi (hound/mix) and Eli (Border Terrier). She was attentive, responsive, responsible, and proactive. They were immediately at ease with her during their first meeting and it was a love fest ever since. The best characteristic about Emily for us was her compassion for our puppies. At times, we would get stuck in DC and send Emily a quick text to ask if she could swing by and feed and walk the puppies. We knew we could trust her to care for them as we would. Sometimes, we would even ask if she could sit with them for a bit as they had been alone all day. She gladly would and it was heartwarming to walk into the house to see all three of them relaxing. What a relief to have a pet sitter who takes her job seriously because of her genuine attitude of kindness towards our beloved furry family!

I love to arrange to meet potential clients before arrangements are made for me to care for them. I think that a proper introduction from their trusted owner is an important step for a pet to be a part of. It would also be important for an owner to disclose if a pet has any dietary restrictions, medical needs, or seperation anxiety so that I can be sure to provide adqueate care.
A typical day
I love to take dogs on walks. They get the excitment that comes with a new walker and the thrill of seeing the outdoors. There are so many sights and smells that they get to discover. I love seeing their tails wag when they find a new stick or spot a new friend!

I just left my previous job (caring for laboratory animals), to start prepping for my move to Texas Tech this winter (to pursue my Master's in Animal Science), so I am available when ever you need me!
