Pet care experience
I’ve cared for multiple pets throughout my entire life. I’m most proud of rescuing and raising my pit bull, Lucy. She has prepared me for any high energy dogs and “leash pullers.” She oftentimes gets nervous around other dogs so I’m used to dealing with anxious dogs that bark and pull. I consider myself to have a calming nature for nervous animals. I can proudly say that I’ve won 35/50 rope pulling contests against her and I’m excited to take on more challengers. I’ve had both high energy and older, calmer dogs. I can spend the day running around and playing with your dog or relaxing by a sun spot and cuddling. During the summer I have open availability on weekdays and morning/afternoon on the weekends.

I cannot say enough good things about Emily. My husband and I were in a bit of a bind as we adopted a dog about a week prior to going on a pre-planned weekend-long vacation. We were of course drawn to her profile because she has pitbull experience and the dog we adopted just happened to be a blue pittie just like hers! Emily was quick to respond to our last-minute inquiry and was kind enough to come meet our dog, Horatio the very next day. Being that Horatio was new at the time, he was still getting used to his surroundings/being in a new home the weekend we were away. Emily was patient, kind, and worked with us and Horatio to ensure he was comfortable and stayed in constant communication with us throughout the weekend. We would absolutely 100% book Emily again and would highly recommend her for any Rover job!
Emily is head over heels for dogs of all shapes and sizes. Her blue nosed Pit-bull Lucy is one of the sweetest and well trained dogs I have ever seen. The credit for that accomplishment goes to Emily. She is firm, but patient. Kind, but not a push over either. Anytime she sees a dog she is overcome with joy, and constantly talks about how she would like to own a farm filled with the like. You could hire no one more motivated and competent than Emily Womer, any dog owner would be lucky to have her knock on their door and take their best friend for a stroll.
Emily has cared for our rescued pitbill for years before leaving for college. She is a caring, loving and dedicated pet owner and is a perfect fit.

I like to know the temperament of the dog so I can adjust to meet your dogs needs. If they are nervous it’s good to know what’s best to calm them. For walking, I like to know how they react to seeing other dogs, people, and animals so I can prepare. I have no breed preferences, but I have a sweet spot for pit bulls and mutts.
A typical day
I'm an active person who loves going for all over the city. My personal favorites are afternoon walks to Rittenhouse or sunset walks to the Schuylkill dog park. I have a car to take your dog hiking locally.

Availability
I'm currently work from home and hoping to find some neighborhood dogs to help care for during my day. I can do drop-ins/walks from 7am - 8:45am, 11:30am - 2:30pm, and anytime after 5pm.
