Pet care experience
I grew up in a house with 2 dogs and just celebrated my 6 year old black lab Lucy's 5th Gotcha Day! Through the years I have not only cared for my own dog but frequently dog sat for friends and family. Pre-covid I also volunteered at the local Humane Society which included training on interacting with different types of dogs, personalities, and safety for myself and the dogs. Lucy has had plenty of injuries and medical issues over the years - ACL surgery, arthritis injections, daily medications, and even a toe removal! Luckily she's a very good patient and I've become well versed in caring for an injured pet. This ranges from giving meds to physical therapy stretches. I'm definitely a "dog person" but friends and family have shown me cats can be great too.

A typical day
When the weather is nice, I love going on a long walk or to the dog park with my black lab, Lucy. If it's a rainy day or too cold we'll play inside and probably do some doggy puzzles for enrichment! As she gets older I've noticed her walks are not only for getting physical energy out but also enjoying the sights and smells around her. We love a game of fetch but you also can't beat snuggles and belly rubs!
