Your pets are treated as our own!

Pet care experience

Hello, my name is Emily! I have multiple years of experience caring for animals of all different species. Additionally, I have both a bachelor's and a master's degree in Animal Sciences... so you could say I really love animals! From a young age, I've always had some sort of an animal to care for and love providing care for other's pets as they were my own. We live on a 6 acre farm with plenty of room for your dog to roam. Currently, our yard is not fenced but we are in the process of putting up a fence. We will provide multiple trips outside on a leash at all times. I strive to provide top of the line care for your pet to ensure they are happy and well taken care of. Personally, we have Corgis that interact great with other dogs.. so please know high energy dogs are no scare for us! I provide daily exercise for my own pups and would do the same for yours.

BE CAUTIOUS AND AWARE: We would not use Emily as a sitter again. Emily and her husband seemed like nice people but information on her profile is misleading regarding their fencing and caged animals and how many dogs they have. We were concerned at drop off and saw only partial fencing in front of house and lots of caged animals and no grass. Chickens and other birds, goats and donkeys. Also, the steps to their manufactured home were too steep for our elderly dog but we had brought a ramp with us to get him in car. Her husband greeted us and he was nice and we talked about difficulties and he said it’d be fine and the ramp wasn’t a problem and they had a fenced area in the back. We practiced with our dog his going up and down the ramp to get in the house and he did fine. We were reluctant but in a terrible bind and had multiple travel reservations for the holiday so, we took the chance all would be ok and left our dog. We do not believe it went ok and will never know but maybe others will benefit from this review. While we picked up our dog, he was extremely frantic and we had a difficult time getting him in the car. Emily told us everything went great and he didn’t eat much but that wasn’t uncommon with other dogs but she had fed him and gave him medicine that morning. We thanked and tipped her and thought all was fine and our dog was just extra excited to see us. When we got home, we got him water and had never seen him so thirsty and he was so hungry and we had picked him up at 11:30am so, it shouldn’t have been that long since breakfast and it was very disturbing to see how hungry and thirsty he was! Then EVEN MORE DISTURBING was noticing something on his forehead and finding dried blood and small cuts/bites or scratches which were difficult to see because of fur but like a fresh wound still. Maybe a day old but we don’t know. I texted Emily and asked about how he got this injury. She said they had no idea but she had left him alone with their Corgi a short time. She said she noticed something on her Corgi the day before and went to clean and thought it might be blood but she didn’t find any injury and didn’t think more about it. We don’t know what to think and we never saw any of her dogs but must note there is no CORGI listed on her profile and she said that morning she had done eye medication on our dog and it’s difficult to believe she wouldn’t have felt his crusty forehead when doing eye meds. We are not accusing her or husband of anything but we are heartbroken from the experience and we would not have booked in the first place, if we’d known the details of their fencing, caged animals, yard size, extra dogs and steep steps to maneuver.
