Hi! My name is Emily and I would love to care for your pets! I have 2 of my own at home, Jolene the dog and Mothman the cat. I'm very comfortable around animals and I grew up with a lot of different pets in the house: dogs, cats, birds, fish, chinchillas, and more! I come from a family of animal lovers and like to think that caring for them comes naturally to me. My parents used to take trips for work pretty frequently so I would pet-sit for them often. I have a good deal of experience caring for pets that have special diets, need medicine, have specific feeding schedules or bathroom rituals. I have a lot of dog-walking experience from walking the family dogs, ranging from medium to large sized dogs, and now walking our girl Jolene of course! I have experience caring for pets with disabilities and health issues as well: My cat Max was in a horrible accident and had to get his leg amputated several years back. There was a long healing process where he had to be attended to frequently and given medicine for pain, among other health issues he had developed. A few people even asked why I hadn't just put him down because of how expensive and lengthy his surgery and healing process was, but Max meant way too much to me to even consider something like that. Today he is a healthy 3-legged cat who couldn't be happier! I never really saw pet care as a job because I genuinely enjoy being around animals. I feel like they are very empathetic and good for our well-being. And this is why I would love to care for your pets! Looking forward to meeting your doggos and kitties.
