Pet care experience
I cannot remember a time when I did not have a pet myself or took care of neighbor's or friend's dogs and cats. My passion for animals led me to work in the veterinary field for many years. I also pet sat for clients while working in the field. As a former veterinary technician, my experiences allows me to be prepared and comfortable for any situation. I love sharing tips with pet owners about things I've learned along the way too!

Our two feral cats have really warmed up to Emily. Mainly due to her patience and ability to read their behaviors and adapt accordingly. She has given us peace of mind when we travel!
Emily went out of her way to make our two feral cats comfortable with her and to ensure they were safe and well. And she accomplished miracles! After a few visits they came out of hiding and even took treats from her. She paid them an extra visit when she thought one of them might have a urinary issue. We were on vacation in Africa and her efforts and lengthy communications gave us peace of mind that we needed to fully enjoy our trip.
Emily did an outstanding job. In fact she might be a cat whisperer! Our feral guys Javier and Charles actually came out of hiding on her second visit. Thanks,Emily, for being willing to work with them on their own terms.

When pet sitting I indulge in the pets needs while doing my best to keep their routine consistent and steady so they have the best experience they can while their pawrents are away. I am super clean at my own home and at other's homes. I always do a full clean up prior to leaving a house sit or drop in visit.

For both dogs and cats: I would like to know their routine, favorite toys, do they have any medical conditions, and any medications they take. For cats especially, please let me know if they have any special hiding places. I also like to know if your pet has any special quirks or special behaviors; ie: reverse sneezes after barking or paws at water and will spill it all over the floor. Lastly, I would like to know the information for your pet's primary veterinarian and your preferred emergency veterinarian (listed in their Rover profile or written down)
A typical day
I love taking walks so if your pup is a walker we will happily go on strolls daily. Lake Murray is always a go to for me. For cats, majority of the time they self play, but if your kitty loves play time I am all in. Please leave their toys out so we can play when I visit.

Availability
I'm currently available to do Rover full time as I am transitioning jobs. I can be home most of the day, especially during key hours your fur baby needs a friend. I typically clear my personal schedule when I pet sit in order to maintain my focus on your pet.
