Pet care experience
I have a deep compassion and love for dogs! I have previous experience working at a dog daycare. Some of my duties included walking and exercising the dogs, spending time and playing with them inside, lots of cleaning, feeding meals and administering meds, etc. I've also volunteered for the Oregon Humane Society as well as the Pixie Project. I have also taken some classes including dog safety and handling, body language and behavior, and bathing and grooming at the Humane Society. I was a mother to a pug for 13 years who I loved dearly and unfortunately she passed away in in 2022. I have cared for dogs and cats in people's homes, as well as lizards, fish, taking care of plants and general housekeeping, etc. I love dogs of all breeds and sizes- and would love to learn and get to know your dog(s)!

Emily is an excellent dog sitter. She’s very gentle and good with dogs and affectionate. She’s very attentive to their needs. She is very responsible and trustworthy. She goes above and beyond in your home to make sure everything is picked up Clean and tidy for when you come back! She gives them lots of attention and she was even good with our super anxious dog butters! I highly recommend Emily.
Emily is a compassionate and thoughtful dog lover! She treats her Pug like a Queen, by letting her sleep on the bed, letting her have banana bites, and taking her on hikes all over town! I was absolutely confident in Emily when she watched my elderly dog. She had him for days at a time, made sure to give him all of his meds, and feed him at the right times to not interfere with the meds. She took him on walks and hikes, let him sleep next to her (he was quite a baby) and he always seemed so happy and loved when I'd come to pick him up. I trust Emily to be a great dog sitter, walker, and friend!

I will go outside with them whenever letting the dogs in the yard, and can keep them safe on a leash during walks. Keeping doors closed and locked is important for me to feel safe!

I have more experience with smaller and medium sized dogs. It would be good to know about any allergies or unusual behaviors they have, as every dog is different!

I like to take dogs on walks to the park to play, on nature trail hikes, I enjoy jogging and being in nature with dogs.

Availability
I currently work full time during most weekdays, so I'm mostly available during the weekends for care. However, if a home is close enough to my job in Happy Valley and owners are okay I am still able to do overnights during the week.
