My first screenname back in the day was "number1doggylover." Grew up in a dog family, surrounded by rescue dogs. Originally learned dog training from a former army-dog handler (kept the good techniques; ditched the inhumane.) Recently handled a friend's dog in their wedding as a groomslady. Former highly educated professional trying to break into a more rewarding career. I will adapt my style of care to both your needs as a client and the needs of your dog. Dogs love routine and consistency, and I will provide the same consistent care, love, and affection for your furbaby that I give to my own. My availability is very flexible, and I'm very communicative and adaptable to your requests. In addition to basic care and training, I have experience dealing with emergency first aid (ripped foot pads, seizures, bites/stings) as well as routine medical care (special diets, wound care, oral medication, intradermal injections.)

A typical day
I will accommodate your dog's personality and play style. We can play favorite games like fetch, tug, or hide-and-seek, or I will provide stimulation through practicing tricks and skills, either known or new. I will also provide plenty of snuggles and pats. We can walk or jog locally or go off leash in a designated area, if you so desire. If your dog isn't good on a leash, we will work on it with positive reinforcement and patience. I will never rush your dog on a walk.
