Pet care experience
I’ve always had dogs growing up, so I have experience with puppies and the grumpy old man of a dog that we all love so much. I’m comfortable giving medication or any special care your pet might need. I know each pet is used to a certain schedule and I aim to keep to that schedule as much as possible for their comfort.

Emily is a wonderful pet sitter! She watched our dog, Gadget, on two separate occasions. Both times we were traveling internationally, so it was really important to find someone we could trust to not only watch our dog, but also watch our home. Emily did a excellent job! She regularly sent texts with photos and videos of Gadget. Gadget is normally a pretty independent dog, and doesn't really love strangers. However, Gadget fell in love with Emily and she would send photos of them cuddling together. It really helped us feel comfortable leaving him with her. Emily responds to all texts promptly and she was very responsible and professional. I highly recommend Emily for your dog sitting needs!
Emily took care of my two cats multiple times for 5+ days. She stayed in my apartment and took great care of both cats as well as my home. She read and followed all the instructions I had left/provided and kept me up to date almost on a daily basis. I was never worried or stressed about what was going on, and I was initially very anxious about being gone. She did an amazing job and I would recommend her to anyone who needs someone to take care of their pet, whether it’s a midday walk or long term care!!
Emily is great with our dogs. Sometimes they are a little “extra” but she always goes above and beyond to make sure we are comfortable leaving our puppies and they are comfortable when we are gone. Love her and highly recommend her with your fur babies!
100% recommended! Emily has been our primary caregiver for our 4 cats for several years. Emily is extremely attentive with our boys (4 gingers), all of whom are very excited when she’s looking after them (even our one neurotic fellow who apparently likes Emily more than he does us. 😁). We’ve had Emily provide housesitting and drop in service for us many times and have absolute trust in her to look after our pets and home. And though we only have cats ourselves we have friends who have likewise had Emily house sit for their dogs and who told us how pleased they were with Emily’s care. If you are looking for a reliable, trustworthy, and above all caring person to take care of your pet(s) you can’t go wrong with Em.

Depending on your comfort level, I am happy to stay overnight to watch your pet. This is something I have done many times over. The day before you would return, whether I stay there or not, I would clean and tidy up your home because I know coming home to a clean house is always the best feeling.

Please let me know if your animal has any triggers I need to be aware of. Like thunderstorms or fireworks, and what coping mechanisms you’ve used in the past to help them through these things. If your dog does not play well with other animals please let me know so when we are out I can advocate for them and not put them in situations that would negatively affect them. Also any dietary restrictions or needs they may have are great for me to know!
A typical day
Each dog is definitely unique in what they need from day to day. I’m happy doing a nice long walk in the morning to get them started and then mental games that involve food, like rolling up their food in towel and tying it so they can get some mental stimulation. Or just simply playing tug or throwing a ball. You know your pet best so please let me know what they prefer!! If you’ve been working on training, let me know what you are doing so I can continue to reenforce what you’ve done so far!

Availability
I am a full time employee, but telework 4 days a week and I’m in the office the 1 other day. The days I am in office unfortunately change every week. But the upside is I know my schedule for the whole month. So scheduling regular walks can be done easily. I finish my work day by 4:30 Monday - Friday. But for the days I telework I have flexibility for when I’m available upon request!
