I own a 11 month old Australian Shepherd named Cherokee "Cherry" and a 9 year old Sheltie named Frosty. I recently adopted a very sweet kitty who is dog friendly, Jasmine. I am in class/work in my lab from 8 am - 3 pm every day but my dogs are only alone a few hours a week, if that, due to the fact that my fiancé works second shifts and is home all morning until 2:30-3pm. I have cared for dogs since I got "my own" dog at 14 to care for and that dog is my Frosty boy. He is special needs and takes medications, giving me experience with administering pills on a schedule. I do require a meet and greet before each stay. This is at no additional cost and is purely to make sure that your furry friend is a great fit and comfortable with my dogs and home. I want my clients to make sure they are comfortable booking with me and trusting their dogs in my care. I have a fenced in yard in a neighborhood on the southside of Lafayette. I have cameras set up in my home to check on your fur baby when I am away. I love dogs and welcome your fur children into my home. In my home, we consider our dogs our family and our children. I will only take boarding requests if there is a prior meet and greet, at no extra charge. Meet and greets let your dogs visit my home and meet my dogs before they come for their stay. This makes sure that I, as the sitter, get an opportunity that everyone is comfortable before staying with me. I also require all boarders to come with a crate. Dogs react very differently when in new environments, so I want to be sure your dog has his or her crate when I am away at the same time that my fiance is away - which is at most a few hours.
